Applying for a UK visa without professional assistance is like going to court without a lawyer, a risky proposition.
There is far more involved in the visa application process than merely completing a form and submitting a few documents.
From 6th of April 2015 anyone applying for a UK visa valid for more than 6 months will be required to pay an Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS). Payment of the IHS will entitle the visa holder to use the National Health System in the UK for the full duration of their stay in the UK.
The cost of the IHS is £200 per year (£150 per year for students) and is payable in full upfront. So, for example, someone applying for a UK ancestry visa which will be valid for 5 years will be required to pay £1,000 upfront for their HIS.
Thank you so much for your help and as I said in an earlier e-mail, your service was worth every cent and more!
